Michael competed on the hit TV show American Gladiators. Putting into practice his peak performance training, Michael was one of only 22 men selected from over 10,000 nationwide. More than just a competition though, Michael used this national platform to raise awareness of the homeless plight in America, where he donated all his prize winnings. He believes that with success comes an obligation to give back.

What Michael treasures most are Faith, Family and Friends. He has an amazing wife Emi who he adores (married way over his head), a fantastic son Kyle and 2 great stepsons. He’s counts his blessings every day!

As a second-generation owner, Michael has grown Mansfield from a regional 25 employee company into an $8B provider of diversified energy products and services. As a 36-year industry veteran, he has a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement and relies on Mansfield’s 5 Core Principles while making
daily decisions. Michael continues to focus on leadership team development, strategy, and driving Mansfield’s culture. Michael earned a BS in Business Administration from Piedmont College.


Blake Young, President, Mansfield Oil Company

As President of Mansfield Oil Company, Blake Young has responsibility for all commercial and marketing activities across the company’s numerous product lines and services. He also oversees the natural gas and power retail marketing business. In addition, Blake has responsibility for the Mansfield’s Human Resources, Information Technology, Process Improvement, Business Intelligence, and Program Management Office functions. Blake possesses broad energy industry knowledge and has CEO experience in both large and middle market companies (Publicly traded & Private Equity Backed). He has lead meaningful consumer-focused businesses, driven new product development, branding, and sales & marketing transformations.


Andy Austin, SVP, Specialty Products, Mansfield Energy Corp

In his role as Vice President of Specialty Products, Andy is responsible for managing Mansfield’s product lines including fuel additives and DEF. Prior to Mansfield, Andy was President and CEO of Additech where he helped expand the company from startup to operations in 17 states and over 2500 fueling locations. Prior to Additech, Andy spent 10 years as a management consultant helping Fortune 1000 corporations identify, develop, and execute business growth strategies. Andy holds a BS in Computer Science from LeMoyne College and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.



J. Chris Daichendt, SVP, Transportation & Logistics, Mansfield Energy Corp

J. Chris Daichendt leads the strategic direction of Mansfield’s transportation department including freight coordination, rate solicitation and negotiation, contract management and overall vendor relationship management. Before joining the Mansfield team in 2008, Chris was a Senior Project Manager at FuelQuest, coordinating several large-scale implementation projects in the United States and the Middle East. Prior to FuelQuest, Chris held numerous positions including General Manager, Director of Operations and Operations Manager for both BFI Waste Systems and H&W Petroleum, Inc. Chris holds a BS in Management with an Area of Concentration in Environmental Science from Clemson University.


Jim Timmer, Director of DEF Product Management, Mansfield Energy Corp

In his role, James (Jim) Timmer is responsible for all aspects of Mansfield’s DEF business. Prior to Mansfield, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer for Additech, Inc., where he spent 15 years growing the company from startup into a $20MM company. Prior to Additech, Jim spent 10 years with ExxonMobil serving in a variety of roles in engineering, operations, corporate planning, rail management, and pipeline.
