John Kingston, Executive Editor of Freightwaves

John Kingston is the Executive Editor of Freightwaves, and the head of community engagement for the affiliated Blockchain in Transport Alliance. As executive editor, Kingston leads the editorial team that has made the Freightwaves news website the most trafficked in the trucking and transport industry. Matt is a Senior Managing Editor for refined products for the Americas. He leads a ten-person team to cover breaking news and produce key assessments of refined products including, benchmarks for US Gulf Coast ultra low sulfur diesel, jet fuel, gasoline and heating oil.

After joining Platts in November 2009, Matt covered US Gulf Coast distillates and West Coast refined product markets. Additionally, Matt worked in Dubai as part of the Platts Editorial Abroad Program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from South Dakota State and worked 12 years for The Associated Press. He holds dual MBAs at the University of Houston and Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Prior to Additech, Andy spent 10 years as a management consultant helping Fortune 1000 corporations identify, develop, and execute business growth strategies.
