John Eichberger is Executive Director of The Fuels Institute, a non-profit, independent think tank founded and managed by NACS, the association for convenience and fuel retailing. Drawing diverse stakeholders from the vehicle and fuels industries, the Institute encourages multi-industry collaboration and produces credible, independent analytical reports to better inform business leaders and policymakers about opportunities and challenges in the vehicles and fuels markets. Founded in 2013, the Fuels Institute has delivered influential reports on driver demographics and consumer behavior, future trends of vehicle technologies, the market performance and potential of E85, the effect of fuel prices on vehicle purchase decisions, the expanding role of diesel fuel in the U.S. and other market-relevant topics.
Previously, Eichberger served more than 14 years at NACS, most recently as Vice President of Government Relations and previously as Director of Motor Fuels. In these roles, he oversaw the association’s comprehensive advocacy operations and represented the industry before the media and federal government. He joined NACS in 2000 after serving two years as an energy and environment policy advisor to Rep. Greg Ganske of Iowa. Ed Wells is the Vice President of Environmental Solutions – Automotive, Industry and Maritime for Yara North America. Ed’s career with Yara started in 2009. Before joining Yara, Ed spent 14 years in the petroleum industry working with the marketing and distribution of diesel fuel in North America. Yara’s expertise and extensive resources for the production of DEF provide the North American market with an efficient and reliable DEF and urea supply.
J. Chris Daichendt, SVP, Transportation & Logistics, Mansfield Energy Corp
J. Chris Daichendt leads the strategic direction of Mansfield’s transportation department including freight coordination, rate solicitation and negotiation, contract management and overall vendor relationship management. Before joining the Mansfield team in 2008, Chris was a Senior Project Manager at FuelQuest, coordinating several large-scale implementation projects in the United States and the Middle East. Prior to FuelQuest, Chris held numerous positions including General Manager, Director of Operations and Operations Manager for both BFI Waste Systems and H&W Petroleum, Inc. As Director of Hedge Product Marketing, Jay brings over 20 years of experience in risk management to Mansfield. Jeremiah Cooke is focused on the development and execution of customer facing transaction management solutions for Mansfield’s DeliveryONE partners and commercial customers. In his role, James (Jim) Timmer is responsible for all aspects of Mansfield’s DEF business. Laura graduated in 1991 from the University of Michigan with a BSE in Chemical Engineering. She began her career with ExxonMobil that same year as a technical engineer at the Baytown Refinery.
Over the past 26 years, Laura has held multiple leadership positions in Refinery Operations, Supply, Sales, and Planning in both the US and Europe. In 2015, Laura was named to her current position in Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing.
Luis Victoria, Americas Market Development Advisor, Imperial Oil
Luis Victoria is the Americas Market Development Advisor that has been working on Mobil Diesel Efficient fuels project since its inception. He is heavily engaged in the marketing strategy and sales training of the fuel.
Luis’ professional career spans 3 decades and he has applied his sales and marketing acumen in over 30 countries in the Americas. He has worked in various industries including manufacturing, food service, electronic commerce and petrochemicals.
Luis graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering Degree from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology and in 1996 he received a Master’s in Business Administration Degree from The University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

In 2014, Rick Enright joined the Mansfield team as Vice President of Wholesale Marketing. Based in Chicago, IL, he is responsible for managing Mansfield’s wholesale supply and marketing team across the U.S. and Canada. Rick started his career in the petroleum industry in 1991 with the Sohio Oil Company as a Retail Supervisor of dealer and company operations in Ohio. He has also held several management positions in the areas of commercial sales, procurement, supply, and operations at BP Products North America, RKA Petroleum Companies, FirstGroup America, and FuelQuest.
