During the period immediately after enactment of Title IV of the Clean Air Act, he pioneered the use of emissions trading in the United States and structured many of the initial transactions, including the first publicly announced deal.

John Kingston is the Executive Editor of Freightwaves, and the head of community engagement for the affiliated Blockchain in Transport Alliance. As executive editor, Kingston leads the editorial team that has made the Freightwaves news website the most trafficked in the trucking and transport industry. As head of community engagement for BiTA, he works with interested groups learning about blockchain technology and how it will impact their markets. He joined Freightwaves after a more than 32-year career with McGraw Hil/S&P Global, most of it spent at Platts, an energy news and pricing service. In his almost 30 years at Platts, he filled many roles including Head of Oil and Head of News. He also was a frequent commentator on oil markets on CNBC, Fox Business and other media outlets. In his final three years at the company, he held several positions, including creating the company's blockchain task force to help S&P Global steer its way into the blockchain world. He is a graduate of Washington & Lee University.

Matt is a Senior Managing Editor for refined products for the Americas. He leads a ten-person team to cover breaking news and produce key assessments of refined products including, benchmarks for US Gulf Coast ultra low sulfur diesel, jet fuel, gasoline and heating oil.
After joining Platts in November 2009, Matt covered US Gulf Coast distillates and West Coast refined product markets. Additionally, Matt worked in Dubai as part of the Platts Editorial Abroad Program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from South Dakota State and worked 12 years for The Associated Press. He holds dual MBAs at the University of Houston and Thunderbird School of Global Management.

As Senior Vice President of Specialty Products, Andy is responsible for managing Mansfield’s product lines including fuel additives and DEF. Prior to Mansfield, Andy was President and CEO of Additech, where he helped expand the company from startup to operations in 17 states and over 2500 fueling locations. Prior to Additech, Andy spent 10 years as a management consultant helping Fortune 1000 corporations identify, develop, and execute business growth strategies. Andy holds a BS in Computer Science from LeMoyne College and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
