Curt Steinhorst is on a mission to help today’s workforce win the battle against digital distractions. Having spent years studying the impact of tech on human behavior, he now equips professionals across the world to work smarter and stronger in this constantly-connected age. As a leading voice on strategic communications in the age of distraction and a certified speaker at the Center for Generational Kinetics, Curt speaks on average more than 90 times a year.

As a business owner, entrepreneur, and founder of FocusWise, Curt sees how lack of focus impacts today’s workplace and its leaders. Curt’s fascination with distraction is not simply professional. Diagnosed with ADD as a child, he’s worked tirelessly to overcome the unique distractions that today’s technology creates. As a father, Curt understands how profoundly digital connectivity is transforming people of every age.

Discovering a rare gift for capturing the attention of large audiences at an early age, Curt was elected President of his 10,000 member class at Texas A&M University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. His personal experiences serving as a speaking coach and speech writer for top performers, from executives, TV personalities, and TED Talk presenters, to NFL hall of famers, Olympic gold medalists, and the Heisman Trophy winner, make him a powerful and entertaining communicator.  Curt is the founder of a communications consultancy called Promentum Group, which is still in existence today.  He is currently working on his first book.

Curt’s speeches on the topics of generations and Millennials occur on behalf of the Center for Generational Kinetics. The Center studies generational trends to convert them into breakthrough business opportunities. The organization and its founder, Jason Dorsey, has been featured on 20/20, the Today Show, 60 Minutes, and the View. Curt’s personal experiences leading Gen Y and his direct work with business leaders and top performers make him a powerful voice for and to the emerging workforce.



Tom Kloza

Global Head of Energy Analysis, Oil Price Information Service (OPIS)

Tom Kloza has covered downstream oil markets for over 40 years, and was among the founders of OPIS. A magna cum laude graduate of St. Francis University, Tom has a degree in English and has analyzed crude oil, refined products, and gas liquids for parts of four decades. He has also written commentary for Marketwatch and is a regular guest commentator for Bloomberg Financial Markets and NPR Marketplace.

He provides unbiased and expert commentary for print and electronic media during times of oil volatility, and is regularly quoted in virtually every U.S. and international periodical. He has commented specifically on OPEC matters and U.S. gasoline and diesel prices for the BBC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, and ABC. He is also a frequent guest lecturer on fuel price economics at a number of colleges and universities as well as for key petroleum associations. John Eichberger

Executive Director, The Fuels Institute

John Eichberger is Executive Director of The Fuels Institute, a non-profit, independent think tank founded and managed by NACS, the association for convenience and fuel retailing. Drawing diverse stakeholders from the vehicle and fuels industries, the Institute encourages multi-industry collaboration and produces credible, independent analytical reports to better inform business leaders and policymakers about opportunities and challenges in the vehicles and fuels markets. Founded in 2013, the Fuels Institute has delivered influential reports on driver demographics and consumer behavior, future trends of vehicle technologies, the market performance and potential of E85, the effect of fuel prices on vehicle purchase decisions, the expanding role of diesel fuel in the U.S. and other market-relevant topics.

Previously, Eichberger served more than 14 years at NACS, most recently as Vice President of Government Relations and previously as Director of Motor Fuels. In these roles, he oversaw the association’s comprehensive advocacy operations and represented the industry before the media and federal government. He joined NACS in 2000 after serving two years as an energy and environment policy advisor to Rep. Greg Ganske of Iowa. With more than 17 years of related experience, Eichberger is a recognized expert on motor fuels and the fuels retailing industry. He has testified before Congress, regularly speaks to a wide variety of industry groups, is frequently seen as a guest on CNBC’s Squawk Box and is often quoted by national media outlets.




Andy Austin, SVP, Specialty Products, Mansfield Energy Corp

In his role as Vice President of Specialty Products, Andy is responsible for managing Mansfield’s product lines including fuel additives and DEF. Prior to Mansfield, Andy was President and CEO of Additech where he helped expand the company from startup to operations in 17 states and over 2500 fueling locations. Prior to Additech, Andy spent 10 years as a management consultant helping Fortune 1000 corporations identify, develop, and execute business growth strategies. Andy holds a BS in Computer Science from LeMoyne College and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.





Barry Murphy, Industrial and Commercial Sales Manager, Imperial Oil

Barry Murphy is the Americas Industrial and Commercial Sales Manager leading a team of sales professionals focused on building trusted relationships with our valued customers. Barry’s career has spanned 3 decades, working in 4 continents across a multitude of departments within Imperial Oil and ExxonMobil.  He has garnered significant leadership experience in Fuels & Lubricants sales and products trading. Barry graduated in 1991 with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Guelph, Canada fuels markets.





Blake Young, President, Mansfield Oil Company

As President of Mansfield Oil Company, Blake Young has responsibility for all commercial and marketing activities across the company’s numerous product lines and services. He also oversees the natural gas and power retail marketing business. In addition, Blake has responsibility for the Mansfield’s Human Resources, Information Technology, Process Improvement, Business Intelligence, and Program Management Office functions. Blake possesses broad energy industry knowledge and has CEO experience in both large and middle market companies (Publicly traded & Private Equity Backed). He has lead meaningful consumer-focused businesses, driven new product development, branding, and sales & marketing transformations.


Ed Wells, VP, Environmental Solutions, Yara North America, Inc.

Ed Wells is the Vice President of Environmental Solutions – Automotive, Industry and Maritime for Yara North America. Ed’s career with Yara started in 2009. Before joining Yara, Ed spent 14 years in the petroleum industry working with the marketing and distribution of diesel fuel in North America. Yara’s expertise and extensive resources for the production of DEF provide the North American market with an efficient and reliable DEF and urea supply.






J. Chris Daichendt, SVP, Transportation & Logistics, Mansfield Energy Corp

J. Chris Daichendt leads the strategic direction of Mansfield’s transportation department including freight coordination, rate solicitation and negotiation, contract management and overall vendor relationship management. Before joining the Mansfield team in 2008, Chris was a Senior Project Manager at FuelQuest, coordinating several large-scale implementation projects in the United States and the Middle East. Prior to FuelQuest, Chris held numerous positions including General Manager, Director of Operations and Operations Manager for both BFI Waste Systems and H&W Petroleum, Inc. Chris holds a BS in Management with an Area of Concentration in Environmental Science from Clemson University.





Jay Blanton, Director of Hedge Product Marketing, Mansfield Energy Corp

As Director of Hedge Product Marketing, Jay brings over 20 years of experience in risk management to Mansfield. Jay has worked with both consumers and producers of refined product developing price risk management programs to meet budgetary and risk policy needs. After leaving Wells Fargo’s Commodity desk, Jay joined NextEra Energy in origination marketing power, refined fuels, and natural gas. Most recently, Jay worked with INTL FCStone Energy in Miami, FL. Jay holds a degree in Finance from Palm Beach Atlantic University.




Jeremiah Cooke, Specialty Product Manager, Mansfield Energy Corp

Jeremiah Cooke is focused on the development and execution of customer facing transaction management solutions for Mansfield’s DeliveryONE partners and commercial customers. Jeremiah has contributed in many roles at Mansfield including Logistics, Marketing, and Product Management. Namely, he has helped drive Mansfield’s FuelAll product, which offers custom solutions for transaction management and online reporting for our DeliveryONE partners. A Colorado native, Jeremiah has an MBA from the University of Colorado and works from Mansfield’s Rocky Mountain Operations Center in Denver, CO.


Jim Timmer, Director of DEF Product Management, Mansfield Energy Corp

In his role, James (Jim) Timmer is responsible for all aspects of Mansfield’s DEF business. Prior to Mansfield, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer for Additech, Inc., where he spent 15 years growing the company from startup into a $20MM company. Prior to Additech, Jim spent 10 years with ExxonMobil serving in a variety of roles in engineering, operations, corporate planning, rail management, and pipeline.



Laura Pottorf, Americas Commercial Fuels Marketing Manager, ExxonMobil

Laura Pottorf is the Americas Commercial Fuels Marketing Manager with responsibility for marketing activities supporting Wholesale, Industrial and Commercial customers.

Laura graduated in 1991 from the University of Michigan with a BSE in Chemical Engineering.  She began her career with ExxonMobil that same year as a technical engineer at the Baytown Refinery.

Over the past 26 years, Laura has held multiple leadership positions in Refinery Operations, Supply, Sales, and Planning in both the US and Europe.  In 2015, Laura was named to her current position in Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing.


Luis Victoria, Americas Market Development Advisor, Imperial Oil

Luis Victoria is the Americas Market Development Advisor that has been working on Mobil Diesel Efficient fuels project since its inception.  He is heavily engaged in the marketing strategy and sales training of the fuel.

Luis’ professional career spans 3 decades and he has applied his sales and marketing acumen in over 30 countries in the Americas.  He has worked in various industries including manufacturing, food service, electronic commerce and petrochemicals.

Luis graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering Degree from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology and in 1996 he received a Master’s in Business Administration Degree from The University of Edinburgh in Scotland.


Michael F. Mansfield, Sr. Chairman/CEO of Mansfield Energy Corp

Mansfield Energy is a family business serving North America’s largest consumers of transportation and power generation fuels. As a second-generation owner, Michael has grown Mansfield from a regional 25 employee company into an $8B provider of diversified energy products and services. Today, Mansfield employs 560 team members and ranks 43rd on Forbes’ list of America’s Largest Privately Owned Companies. As a 36-year industry veteran, he has a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement and relies on Mansfield’s 5 Core Principles while making
daily decisions. Michael continues to focus on leadership team development, strategy, and driving Mansfield’s culture. Michael earned a BS in Business Administration from Piedmont College.



Rick Enright, VP, Wholesale Fuels Marketing, Mansfield Energy Corp

In 2014, Rick Enright joined the Mansfield team as Vice President of Wholesale Marketing. Based in Chicago, IL, he is responsible for managing Mansfield’s wholesale supply and marketing team across the U.S. and Canada. Rick started his career in the petroleum industry in 1991 with the Sohio Oil Company as a Retail Supervisor of dealer and company operations in Ohio. He has also held several management positions in the areas of commercial sales, procurement, supply, and operations at BP Products North America, RKA Petroleum Companies, FirstGroup America, and FuelQuest.
